I agree in spirit, but there's one bit I've got to mention.

You're generally asked if you'd like a carwash before you buy gas because gas stations that provide the service generally discount you a few cents per gallon on your gas purchase if you say 'yes' to that particular question.

Also, I dig the new site design.

-The World Without Us (Best book of 2007)
Beautiful book about how long it will take the Earth to recover after we disappear. Pretty fast for most things, but then there are some things we've screwed up forever.

-Eating the Sun (one of the best of 2008)
A look at environmental issues from the perspective of photosynthesis and the carbon cycle. The Earth is a self-correcting system.

I twittered this as well, but what's "recrudescence"? I like neo enviroputer.

Also, I've got a good friend who is a total wacko foodie/locally-grown/hippie type person. The one argument I'm not really 100% on yet is that large agri-business is inefficient with its land use. Can somebody explain that one to me?

Hello, I found this blog article while searching for help with JavaScript. I have recently switched browsers from Opera to Mozilla Firefox 3.1. Just recently I seem to have a issue with loading JavaScript. Every time I go on a website that requires Javascript, the site freezes and I get a "runtime error javascript.JSException: Unknown name". I can't seem to find out how to fix it. Any help is very appreciated! Thanks

Hi there. I also use this awesame script from Ariel Flesler. I have a little problem with it and I couldn´t get in contact with Ariel so far. The problem is: in Firefox everthing works fine, the animation scrolls from one element to the next one. In every other major browser the animation don´t stop at the next element but rushes directly to the end of the list. I don´t know what I have to do to make all browser act like FF. You can see it in action under: http://pr.russ24.net/de/referenzen/nach_kunden/projekt/Barbour/2008/unternehmensdarstellung/744029270/
Any idea?

I'm actually torn, its annoying when a site doesn't work properly and I'm forced to use IE6 because of work. That said I don't know if that means I think that it should or shouldn't be coded for. It'd be nice if everything worked, so from that perspective I think that it should be coded for. Another part of me though thinks that the only way for it to actually go away would be if enough stuff just stops supporting it. One of the main reasons that Windows XP stuck around for that long is that support kept remaining for it .. if that had not happened others would have migrated away from it. Same thing could be true here too.
